Lantz was born the 26th of June 1887 in Richmond, Indiana (no birth record has been found) He was the eldest son of John Newland and Martha (Mattie) Ann Lantz. The 1890 Census is gone so I don't know much between 1887 and 1900.
On the 7th September 1905 at the age of 18 Lantz married Minnie Graham.
In 1910 at the age of 22 Lantz and family are living in Richmond, Wayne, Indiana. Lantz is listed as being a woodworker in a shop.
In 1920 Lantz and family are still living in Richmond, Indiana. Lantz is now a body maker at an automobile factory. Their son Roy passed in 1910 after the last census, In 1919 their daughter Katherine Lucile Newland was born and sadly passed that same year, so she does not appear on the census. In total Lantz and Minnie had 9 Children, 3 of which died young (Roy, Katherine, Ethel)
In 1930 at the age of 43 the family has now moved to Flint, Michigan. Lantz is listed as a Foreman at Fisher Body Co.
Later that year in 1930 the family had moved to Kansas City and Minnie was diagnosed with Cancer of the cervix and uterus. She passed 4 years later on the 5th of September 1934 in Kansas City, MO.
On the 26th of June 1936, two years after the passing of Minnie, Lantz is married to his 2nd wife Bessie Lee Cook. Not much else is known about her and this marriage. They divorce shortly after, then two years later in 1938 Lantz is married to Vallie Minta "Helen" Jamison, his 3rd and final marriage.
In 1940 Lantz and Vallie "Helen" are still living in Kansas City, Mo
In 1942 Lantz and Vallie have now moved to San Diego, California and Lantz is working for Consolidated Aircraft Corporation.
In 1950 at the age of 62 Lantz and Vallie are still living in California, Lantz is now working for Turin Tile Co.
10 years later on the 20th of August 1960 Lantz passed away at the age of 73 (searching for death certificate)
