First Blog

Hello!

And welcome to Ancestral Truth Seeker.

If you have already been looking around the site you'll see some of our ancestors that we have uploaded. Some have more information than others. We wanted to upload all the ancestors that we know of or we are assuming are correct . Basically, it's the work we've done on our family tree's so far. We plan on working our way through the era's; verifying information and expanding while filling out profiles as much as we can.

As genealogy goes - we will be making updates on ancestors we have moved on from when we get new information. So be sure to sign up for our newsletter! We will keep you updated on changes, finds, and what we will be working on. Please, reach out to us if you have any information or leads!

However, we won't be working on tree expansion for a short time. Tim's aunt has a treasure trove of documents and pictures that we are borrowing to scan.

A large Aldi bag is pictured on a desk full of packets of genealogy work. A notebook is opened up in front of the bag displaying censuses.
Wilma Trammell's Genealogy work

As you can see from the photo - we have a lot of documents! There are many photographs, obituaries, censuses, and notes galore. The main family groups are Trammell, Hyatt, Large, Durham, Newland, and Annis. If we find more family groups - we will let you know in the newsletter!

Today, I scanned 63 documents. And that was all from the notebook in the front of the picture. We sure have a lot of work ahead of us! Digitizing these documents and pictures will help more family members obtain important genealogical information. And that's what we are working to do, help preserve history and help people find their ancestors!

So, stick around - ask question's if you've got 'em - and donate to the research fund if you can!
